The Director General, Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRS-PHCDA), Dr Betta Edu has been awarded the 2018 African Humanitarian award on health advocacy.
The investiture and presentation will take place at Morocco in November this year.
The elated DG said, “when I got that international call followed by the emails that I was to be awarded the PAN African HUMANITARIAN AWARD FOR 2018 EXCELLENCE IN HEALTH ADVOCACY, i sure struggled to believe it. All free”.
The DG went further to say, “I am already over whelmed that I am amongst the top five nominated for the Mandela Washington Award this year…… hmmmm God must be working over time ohhh!!!!! Who am i lord that you are so mindful of me.
To my Boss Professor Ben Ayade and his wife Dr Linda Ayade who threw caution to the wind and gave an under 30 a platform to serve only God can reward you! Truly only great leaders can identify great potentials…. let me pause here… you will hear the rest from Morocco!
To everyone who has prayed for me, encouraged me in one way or the other, fought me, clapped for me, toiled with me … CRSPHCDA Staff…the over 3000 health workers making the sacrifice every other day… my sweet family … the media….. my twin sister and Ette Ifot…(if you know you know) … all those who sat on the fence to throw hard criticisms … you are part of this story…. you added fuel to my fire… trust me am most grateful … you all deserve some accolades. You all have gradually made a no name become a household name in Africa.
Thank you Jesus… We’re global now!!!!
