2019:JUDE NGAJI TASKS HIS SUPPORTERS ON IDEOLOGY BASED ADVOCACY

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ogoja/Yala federal constituency in in the forthcoming general elections, Jude Ogbeche Ngaji has admonished his teeming supporters and loyalists to be ideology-based and issues-driven in their advocacy and sensitization.

In a message titled “TO ALL MY TEEMING LOYALISTS, SUPPORT GROUPS AND FANS”, the front line candidate enjoined all his followers to engage in objective politics and electoral processes that are strictly guided by rule of law, for the emergence of competent and effective leadership that would drive effective and sustainable good governance for the people of Ogoja/Yala in 2019.

The high powered message which was highly welcomed by his opponents in the PDP reads;

“An interesting and fundamental component of our advocacy and sensitization for Ogoja/Yala 2019 should be anchored on the quality of discourse and debates on issues which will have a direct positive bearing on the people and the society in general.

“As a democrat, i am committed to good governance and peaceful democratic processes at all levels, thereby contributing my quota towards establishing the culture of peaceful, transparent, free, fair and credible elections. Over the years, i have been encouraging where necessary, ideology-based and issues-driven politics and electoral processes that are strictly guided by rule of law, for the emergence of competent and effective leadership that would drive effective and sustainable good governance for the people.

Jude Ngaji further said; “in order to remain steady in the overall objective of an acceptable outcome of the electoral processes devoid of violence, i would continue to do whatever i can to prevent the derailment of the processes through sustained collaborative engagements with critical stakeholders in the polity.

Considering the above, he said he had instructed his campaign organization to work assiduously towards peaceful, relatively violence-free elections and a better democratic polity that can guarantee justice, inclusiveness, cohesion and sustainable development in Ogoja/Yala federal constituency.

“I wish to urge everyone to live up to our expectations to focus on core issues that will bring about improved representation and leadership to the people in 2019. We must resist the temptation and antics of paid agents and hirelings who may want to drag popular attention to the character assassination of opponents, mudslinging, muckraking, barefaced lies, hate speeches and false propaganda to mislead the gullible.

“We are seeking election, hence we must justify our quest with concrete facts of our achievements first as individuals and in government, and what we can do for our people without resorting to verbal warfare.

On political virtues, he emphasized on the need for quality advocacies which should always be centered on the people and the people; stressing that Ogoja/Yala needs the best of her human capital to seize the commanding heights of representation in 2019.

“I wish to reiterate my earlier appeal to all my supporters, stakeholders, especially party loyalists, the security agencies, the electorate etc etc to ensure that the next phase of the political campaigns slated from November 18 2018 to the elections in 2019 are issues-driven interactions rather than engaging in acts that could promote hate, divisiveness and intolerance that can impact negatively on the processes leading to the elections.

Finally, he called on all to sustain the rich contents of the ongoing campaigns to make it richer and content driven in other to set the pace for others to follow, stating that it is election and not war.
