Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje has appointed new Emirs in the state.
One of the Son of former Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero was appointed as the monarch in charge of Bichi Emirate.
The Commissioner of Information in Kano state Muhammad Garba confirmed the appointment of new emirs and will receive letter of appointment on Saturday at Sank Abacha stadium in Kano.
It could be recalled that the Kano State Assembly had early in the week passed a law breaking Kano Emirates into five which the Governor Ganduje signed with immediate effect.
Reacting to the development, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Timi Frank, has condemned decision by Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano state to divide the Kano emirate into four.
Frank described the decision as destruction of traditional institution which has been in existence since 1805.
Frank specifically accused the Governor of signing a political vendetta bill which is aimed at making the Kano Emirate under Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi irrelevant.
