IDI BABA YAKUBU ESQ. REJECTS APPIONTMENT BY CRS GOVERNMENT

Amidst the gale of appointments and rejections in Cross River State in recent times, a former National Commissioner representing Cross River State in the National Population Commission (NPC), Abuja, Idi Baba Yakubu Esq. has equally rejected his appointment.

Reacting, he said his attention has just been drawn to a publication on facebook in which he was allegedly appointed member of the CRS New City Management Board, (CRS-NCDB).

Baba Idi Yakubu who has served the state glowingly in several capacities both at state and federal levels for many years, said it will be totally inappropriate for him to take the limited space designed by Governor Ayade Benedict to secure means of livelihood for our teeming unemployed youths.

“Even as I battle hard to contend with the huge embarrassment the publication has occasioned, let me place on record my most sincere appreciation of His Excellency’s kind gesture.”

“Accordingly, I hereby most humbly and respectfully reject the said appointment and rather counsel that the position be given to any deserving youth from my ward.”

The legal practitioner wished the Governor well and pledged to always be available to offer any advise in any area that His Excellency may deem fit.

Hon. Barrister Idi Baba Yakubu is a one time Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Affairs, Commissioner for Rural Development and Federal Commissioner National Population Commission; at different times in the administration of Governor Clement Ebri, Donald Duke, and former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
