Early Resumption: Bekwarra Council Chairman Charges Workers On Service Delivery

Abuochiche—Dr Josephat Emeka Owan, the Executive Chairman of Bekwarra LGA, has charged workers in the council to rededicate themselves toward delivery of excellent service by resuming early to work.

He spoke with civil servants on Monday at the council Secretariat, Abuochiche as most workers resumed late to work, a situation he decried and condemned.

The Chairman who got to work as early as 7:05am went round the council to have first hand information for himself but noticed that workers in the council were not seen at their duty posts with the zeal to work until 10am.

Owan said his administration will place a high premium on workers to rededicate themselves to work towards the delivery of excellent service in the the council.

“I have gone round the various departments and can see that the offices are empty”.

“You can see that our workers are not here for work at this time. This is unacceptable and can’t continue under my administration”, he said.

The Hon Chairman said the zeal to resume early to work by the civil servants in the council would ensure good service delivery in line with his agenda for a greater Bekwarra.

The Chairman also met with the staff of Unical Microfinance Bank at the council where he called on the workers to be more responsive and proactive in the discharge of their duties.

The Council Chairman, said that government would not relent in creating conducive environment for workers to give their best. He said such environment would enable them to put in more to do their work.
