The All Progressives Congress (APC) has upheld the election of Chief Joe Agi SAN as the party’s candidate for the October 31st, 2020 Senatorial by- election in Cross River North.

The party has submitted his name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as its candidate after extensive consultations.

Consequently, Joe Agi SAN has received his Nomination form from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, filled and submitted same ahead of the forthcoming by-election.

The electoral body had fixed September 13th, 2020 as the deadline for political parties to submit the names of their duly declared winners who will be flagbearers in the main election.

The choice of Agi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria who won the Primaries with a wide margin is to redirect, reposition and reconnect Cross River North Senatorial district to National limelight which will in turn translate to sustainable growth and development, empowerment, infrastructural development etc etc.

A member of staff of the ruling party confirmed that APC has submitted the name of Joe Agi SAN to INEC.

An elated Agi had this to say: “I believe in progressive politics; I believe in ensuring that the ordinary people–the masses of Cross River North require every person’s support for opportunities to actualize their potentials and dreams.
