His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade has approved the immediate engagement of 500 persons in fulfillment of his promise to engage 500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor had shortly after his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, vowed to give appointment to 500 old APC members
In fulfilment of the promise, the governor immediately appointed his fierce critic and former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River central senatorial zone, Rt Hon Cletus Obun, into his cabinet as Special Adviser on Strategic Communication.
The governor also brought on board Ntufam Etim John, who was a former APC state chairman. Sir Victor Abang was also made Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters.
In a circular by the governor’s spokesman, Christian Ita, the 500 appointments of the old APC members is with immediate effect. They are to proceed to their respective local governments of origin for documentation.
As at the time of filing this, SolomonIsandsblog is yet to confirm if the entire 500 names summited by the Party APC, are to be absorbed into the Thirty Thousand Naira (#30,000)only monthly stipends of the LGA’s or not.
